Guam - About a decade in the making, a dedication ceremony was held today signifying the completion of the Heritage Trail in Hagatna. The trail is an important teaching toll that allows island residents and visitors to learn about the history of the island's capitol by walking it.
The $1.4 million project was funded by the Department of the Interior and connects close to 20 historical sites located in the island's capitol. The idea of creating the trail came from the Hagatna Foundation.
Along the trail are new concrete benches and trash bins, new signage, better lighting and shelters for vendors.
