Senate committee OKs Limtiaco's nomination
by Nick Delgado
Guam - Attorney General Alicia Limtiaco is one step closer to becoming the next U.S. attorney for Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. Her nomination cleared the Senate Judiciary Committee Today.
President Barack Obama nominated her to the post two months ago. Limtiaco is the first female to be elected attorney general of Guam, after having served for more than seven years as a prosecutor under the AG's Office. She's a 1990 graduate of UCLA's School of Law and received her Bachelor of Science in business administration from USC in 1985.
Limtiaco's nomination now needs the full Senate vote.
