Guam - Two students were taken into police custody after authorities were called to Inarajan Middle School last night to assist with a couple of students that were beyond control. School Principal Duane Mantanona says the incident happened during the end of the school day on Wednesday.

While it took police into the late evening hours to find the students around the campus, Mantanona says that children in middle school are already at an age where they are going to be held accountable for their actions.  "So that was the message that was given: that Inarajan Middle School will remain a safe environment and the students that misbehave and conduct themselves in a dangerous manner will be disciplined accordingly," the principal told KUAM News.

He also held a schoolwide assembly to speak with students about the incident in an effort to prevent it from happening again.  Mantanona did not say what type of disciplinary action the students will face, but the pair has since been returned to the custody of their parents.
