Guam - If you're a Facebook user, the Guam Customs and Quarantine Agency wants to be your friend.  The department recently launched an outreach initiative intended to improve its relationship with the public.

Customs Lieutenant Dwayne San Nicolas says the agency recently started its Facebook page, Guahan Customs and Quarantine, which has nearly 900 fans.  "We want them to know that we want to be transparent and we want to show them that we can all work together.  Keep this island safe!" he said.

San Nicolas says the Facebook page also provides tips for residents including specifics about counterfeiting and what items are prohibited from being brought to the island.
