Coast Guard calls off mayday search

Guam - The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended a search for a vessel in distress that made a mayday broadcast via VHF on Saturday night.  A man made the mayday broadcast, an internationally recognized declaration of distress. 

A search off the western coast of Guam was stopped after searches were conducted for more than a day.
