Guam - Although the Department of Education is finally in the process of ordering textbooks, they're also looking at implementing e-books at least for two subject areas. According to DOE Superintendent Dr. Nerissa Underwood, since they plan to use stimulus funds to purchase laptops for students, DOE will implement e-books for math and language arts and for those who will be involved with the STEM project, which focuses on the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
These online textbooks can be downloaded, requests for proposal will be sent out and hoping this would be available for middle and high school for next year.
