Inquiry into DYA escapees nears completion

Guam - Department of Youth Affairs Director Pascual Artero says the investigation into the recent escapes from the facility is coming to a close. Artero says since the incident the department has reinforced its supervision policies and re-secured the wires around the facility. He says the final report from internal affairs is expected by the end of next week, which he says should determine just how the boys got out.

Last month two separate escapes were reported. Pascual says he is confident that their enhanced security efforts will prevent the incident from happening again.
