Naval officer hurt in Yigo crash

Guam - A female Navy officer was transported to the Naval Hospital in Agana Heights early this morning after her police cruiser ran off the road and turned over along Route 9 in Yigo.  Navy Spokesperson Annette Donner says the woman was treated for minor injuries and was released from the hospital.

Donner says an investigation is ongoing to determine just how the vehicle crashed.  She does say that it was raining at the time, and that the officer had just come off of Andersen Air Force Base to continue her routine patrol in the NCTMS area.
