GUAM - Senators Ben Pangelinan and Judi Guthertz introduced
legislation relative to the land for the landless program. Bill 370
puts the program in the list of exemptions in the current law that
states that government owned property shall not be sold, leased,
sub-leased, exchanged, or otherwise transferred without prior
legislative approval. If passed, the landless program along with land
use permits, and residential leases by the Chamorro Land trust
commission are exempt. However, the law shall apply to any transfer to
the federal government.
