Charges dropped against Elwin Quitano

Guam - Even after a jury had been picked, instead of going to trial today, Elwin Quitano had his criminal charges dismissed.  The 42-year-old Astumbo Elementary School teacher pleaded not guilty to charges of child abuse and harassment.

He adamantly denied the charges and claimed he was a victim of malice. 

According to court clerks, the charges were dismissed for a civil compromise.
