Guam - Senator Adolpho Palacios officially takes over the committees once chaired by former senator Matt Rector, who stepped down from his seat in the 30th Guam Legislature in January. Because his replacement, Senator Tony Ada, is a republican, Palacios, a Democrat, will assume those additional responsibilities.

The Rules Committee, by majority vote, assigned Palacios to take over the Committee on Labor, Public Structure and Public Libraries and Technology.
