Guam - The Archdiocese of Agana has yet to respond to allegations made by the Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests. Spokesperson Deacon Jeff Barcinas should have returned from Manila by now and is expected to have a statement possibly later today.
Archbishop Anthony Apuron left the island Tuesday morning to attend an oceanic bishops meeting in Fiji. SNAP Southwest Regional Director Joelle Casteix revealed details about alleged sexual abuse by Father Randy Nowak, who resides at the Friary in Sinajana. KUAM's inquiries to Nowak were referred to the Archdiocese.
Meanwhile, Casteix will be available for confidential meetings Thursday afternoon at the Nieves M. Flores Memorial Library in Hagatna from 3-4:30pm.
