Guam - Starting April 1, Guam Waterworks Authority employees will get a pay raise. The adjustment was approved during a recent meeting of the Consolidated Commission on Utilities. According to CCU Chairperson Simon Sanchez, the certified technical pay scale was supposed to be implemented more than a year ago but couldn't because of financial problems with water meter problems.
But now that those issues have been resolved, Sanchez says they are able to give the raises, moving employees from the 5th percentile to the 15th percentile.
