Guam - The Guam Healthcare and Hospital Development Foundation's board of directors met last night to elect four new members to its board of directors. The new directors were selected by the Foundation's nomination committee and recommended all four nominees. New members include Roseanna Jones, who is a professor of economics at the University of Guam; Richard Lai, an active member of Guam's business community; Art Mesa, who is a Vietnam veteran who was selected as the SBA's 2010 Veteran of the Year; and Lina Leon Guerrero; the general manager of Sagua Managu.
Chairperson Peter Sgro said, "These new members replaced four board members that decided not to continue their terms so we had a nomination committee we just didn't go out and pick just anybody. There are certain dynamics as a board we felt it would help foster our purposes and with the type of talent we already had on the board and look at these people and look at the talent they can bring that we currently don't have, we feel like we're more rounded then we were before."
The Foundation board of directors also ratified an approved the election of board members who have served previous terms.
