Petition solicits Obama to speak outside gates

Guam - The We Are Guahan Coalition is circulating a petition encouraging President Barack Obama to move beyond the military bases and speak with the people of Guam. Obama will be visiting the Guam en route to Indonesia. The group will be collecting signatures at various community locations and events throughout the coming weeks.

The signatures will then be sent to the President on March 8, one week before his scheduled visit to Guam. The coalition was formed to engage the community about issues concerning the Guam military buildup.
