Port names interim deputy GM

The Port Authority of Guam's board of directors last night named Vivian Castro Leon as the agency's interim deputy general manager.

Guam - The Port Authority of Guam's board of directors last night named Vivian Castro Leon as the agency's interim deputy general manager. Leon has worked for the port for the last 33 years and will be first woman in the history of the port to serve in that capacity.

Chairman chair Monte Mesa says her selection will allow the management team to move forward with various projects.  "The mission of getting the ARRA funding hopefully and execute the program management team that needs to be assigned as well as engaging and issuing an RFP for the performance management ," he explained.

Leon fills the vacancy left by Rick Agustin, who recently took over as the general manager of the Port Authority of Guam.
