Guam - The Department of Mental Health will appear before District Court Judge Consuelo Marshall tomorrow, and they're hoping the judge won't decide to impose receivership on the government. The plaintiffs in the case have spent nearly a decade waiting for the government to provide adequate services and basic care as they have not received proper treatment for their various disabilities.
Mental Health and the Department of Integrated Services for Individuals with Disabilities contend receivership would be too costly for the government. The status conference is scheduled for 8am Friday in the District Court.
