Babauta taking part in president's discussions

Discussions between President Barack Obama and the U.S. territories continue tomorrow at the Interagency Group on Insular Areas principals' meeting chaired by Assistant Secretary Tony Babauta.

Guam - Discussions between President Barack Obama and the U.S. territories continue tomorrow at the Interagency Group on Insular Areas principals' meeting chaired by Assistant Secretary Tony Babauta.  The IGIA helps address policies concerning Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the CNMI and American Samoa.  In a statement released today assistant Secretary Babauta, he said, "There are significant hurdles to changing perceptions of U.S. Territories."

Among those in attendance at the principals' meeting are White House Intergovernmental Affairs Director Cecilia Munoz and Undersecretary of Defense Dr. Dorothy Robyn.
