GPA gives DOE until mid-week to cover bill

Guam - The Department of Education has until this Wednesday to pay its delinquent power bill.  The Guam Power Authority put the agency on notice ordering that a payment be made this week otherwise disconnections would begin. 

According to GPA Spokesperson Art Perez, DOE must bay $1.3 million by the 24th. More than $892,000 of that amount is for the department's January power bill, while $200,000 is for a promissory note with GPA, and another $135,000 is a bill from September of last year.
