Guam - Guam's hometown airline, Continental Micronesia, is carefully watching how the military buildup is progressing on the island.  While there are no plans for direct service from the U.S. West Coast to Guam, Continental Micronesia President and Chief Operating Officer Charles Duncan says with the airport's ongoing runway extension project and the buildup, it could be a possibility later down the line.

"I do suspect we'll get there," said Duncan, adding, "The market's not big enough today to support it. Roughly speaking there about 30-35 people who travel from Los Angeles to Guam and reverse on average every day. It's just not enough people to support a non-stop flight."
