Webb visits CNMI, returns to Guam

Guam - Virginia Senator Jim Webb will be holding a briefing with the media this evening, having just returned from touring the CNMI. He is visiting the Marianas after a trip to Japan earlier this week regarding the U.S. Marines' relocation. Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo was one of the many elected leaders who met with Webb. She says she shared her concerns regarding the deficiencies of the DEIS.

She added that Webb understands the sensitivity of the issue of eminent domain and will work with her in Congress to insure that this is not an action the Department of Defense will pursue. Webb is a member of the Senate Committee on Armed Services.
