Jury selection begins for Frank Mesa

Guam - Jury selection began for retired assistant fire chief Frank Mesa today.  He pleaded not guilty to criminal charges that accuse him of bilking the government out of tens of thousands of dollars and labor.  Several years ago KUAM News conducted an investigation and found that Mesa was signing timesheets indicating he was working at the Guam Fire Department when he in fact was working for the Transportation Security Administration, but still receiving two paychecks.

Jury selection continues on Thursday morning before Judge Art Barcinas.
