Ground broken on new northern sports complex

The Department of Parks & Recreation and the Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority broke ground this morning on the island's first complete sports complex.

Guam - The Department of Parks & Recreation and the Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority broke ground this morning on the island's first complete sports complex. The facility includes multiple baseball, softball, basketball, and soccer fields, a fitness trail and a community pool.

The project was funded through multiple federal grants totaling just more than $5 million. The new sports complex is scheduled to be completed by December 29.
