Judoka Blas makes history for Guam

Guam - Since making history for Guam at the Olympic Games, Ric Blas Jr. has had time to look back at what he has accomplished. Blas is the only athlete to ever advance in the Olympics and says that he owes everything to the people of Guam.

Blas said, "I feel like we have unlimited potential on Guam, we put out per capita way more athletes than any other place in the world. Out of 170,000 people we brought out 8 athletes so it's a good thing. Winning out here and advancing it's possible to match up to the worlds best and there should be no other option but to do your best and try to get up there as high as you can and reach for the top."
