GEC requesting special election funding

The Guam Election Commission will be making a request for funding in the amount of at least $150,000 to the Guam Legislature. The GEC board yesterday voted to hold a special election to fill the vacancy left when former senator Matt Rector quit.

Guam - The Guam Election Commission will be making a request for funding in the amount of at least $150,000 to the Guam Legislature. The GEC board yesterday voted to hold a special election to fill the vacancy left when former senator Matt Rector quit.

The election is scheduled for March 20.

Interested individuals have until February 20 to fill out the application to run.
