Guam - The Guam Chamber of Commerce held its first meeting of the year at the Hyatt this afternoon.  Jim Beigley, Senior VP of Marketing Development at DFS, spoke about what the military buildup means to Guam as it relates to tourism and efforts by DFS to expand and target the Asia market. The Chamber members have been strong advocates of the buildup and the opportunities the body believes will be created for island residents.

In an effort to expand the Chamber's network they are sponsoring the Guam Young Professionals group to assist a network of rising young professionals with opportunities that arise with the onset of the buildup. The young professionals will have a mixer tomorrow evening from 5:30-7:30pm at CarsPlus, open to individuals between 20 and 40 years old.
