Guam - Astumbo Middle School is the first campus implementing "Power School" wherein parents will have access to their child's grades through the Internet. Department of Education Deputy Superintendent of Finance and Administrative Services Taling Taitano says she's been meeting with secondary level principals to work on the kinks before it's fully launched in all the schools.
Astumbo Middle is the first by which parents will have the ability to track the progress of each student beginning next month. "This is one way parents can keep on top of what they're children are doing. The hope is that it makes the teachers work a little more efficient in terms of keeping grades and attendance and basically it's a tool for the school to use to help keep track of the students and for the parents to also be able to get similar access."
