Guam - The Consolidated Commission on Utilities is set to meet this evening and a resolution expected to gain some attention is one relative to entering into a contract so that the Guam Power Authority can conduct testing and tuning of its electric generators.

GPA Spokesperson Art Perez said, "The more automation we include in the generator the better we can operate these generation units at optimum efficiency. That means more expedient response to different loads and what I mean by loads is energy demands on the power system."

Perez adds that this would bode well for overall efficiency at GPA and help to ensure fewer expenses incurred at both the department and by customers as a result.
