Guam - An informational meeting was held this afternoon for Tiyan landowners to discuss the affects of Bill 278. If passed, the bill will seek compensation for Tiyan landowners whose property was taken for the airport expansion with land at the old Federal Aviation Administration at Marbo Sea Command.

An attorney was present to discuss how these families could get deeds if the land becomes theirs. In addition, realtors were at the meeting to provide input on how these lands could be negotiated with companies or the federal government if they want to lease these properties.

The bill is up for a public hearing next Thursday.
