Bill recognizes Guam's master cultural artists

Guam - Senator B.J. Cruz introduced legislation creating the Guam Masters Award to recognize master practitioners of Guam's traditional and folk arts. The measure states that the award would be created within the Guam Council on the Arts and Humanities Agency.

The bill also states that nominees will be selected by their contributions to the traditional art form in areas of appreciation, knowledge, teaching, advocacy, and advancement, among other criteria requirements.
