Guam - The 3-D Coalition, comprised of the Guam Police Department's Highway Patrol Division, Airport and Port police as well as military police, will be out conducting checkpoints on all of Guam's major roadways this weekend. GPD Sergeant Mike Aguon says Highway has started a night shift with an increased number of officers roving the island.
The checkpoints are a part of Drunk and Drugged Driving Prevention Month, and will continue through mid-January. Said Aguon, "What people need to realize is when they're out, and they're going to go out a party because there's a lot of Christmas parties and New Year's parties. You need to have a designated driver and know that there's numbers that they can call. I know the holiday hotline will be coming out for that. Military people, they can their military personnel anytime."
