Guam - The streets of Hagatna were filled this afternoon with the island's Catholic community participating in the procession commemorating the Feast of Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Francine Sablan, a resident of Sinajana resident said, "Today, [I'm] honoring tradition and also I've been in the States for about 20 years, so I do feel a extra obligation to come and participate in this long time tradition here on the island."

Dededo resident Josephine Dancel added, "To feel the presence of our Lady of Immaculate Conception. And also for my daughter because it's the school, so they have to join to celebrate with the other people."  Ashley Nueva, also from Dededo shared, "I'm here for confirmation. I guess to experience this because I haven't experienced this before."

This year's theme is "Tower of Gold" to celebrate the ending of the Jubilee Year.
