GUAM - Public Health is urging island residents to take advantage of a free mass vaccination point of dispensing that will be held tomorrow at the UOG Field House.
The point of dispensing will be held from 9 in the morning until four in the afternoon. Target groups are pregnant women, those who live or care for infants younger than six months, those individuals who are between the ages of 6 months and 24 years of age, as well as people between 25 and 64 who have chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems and healthcare and emergency medical services personnel. Spokesperson Cindy Hanson says residents are being asked to bring in certification of their condition as well as their shot record, if available.
Hanson explains, "Obviously pregnant women who are showing already that's obviously verification of pregnancy but if you're not showing yet we're asking for some kind of doctor's verification. If you are aged 25–64 with a medical condition or suppressed immune we're asking again for doctors certification or some other kind of proof."
