Guam - The National Weather Service says that the worst of the rain is about over, and residents now can expect mostly cloudy skies for the next several days.  Meteorologist Chip Guard says the wet weather caused by a weak tropical disturbance passing south of Guam caused up to 10 inches of rain in the southern part of the island for at least 12 hours.

While Guard cautions residents of high and steep areas that are susceptible to mudslides, he does say that residents do not have to worry about more heavy rain from the system.

Guard adds that a previously-declared High Surf Advisory was called off at 3 this afternoon and the Small Craft Advisory will be lifted this evening.
