Guam - Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo says she supports President Barack Obama's decision to deploy an additional 30,000 troops to Afghanistan.  Guam's delegate stated, "I have visited our troops deployed to Afghanistan several times, and in each of my visits, it was clear that our troops are ready to carry out the mission of removing the Taliban from power and empowering the Afghanistan government to be independent.  Our men and women in uniform from Guam perform their missions with professionalism and I commend them for their dedication."

On Friday Guam time and next week, the House Armed Services Committee will hold hearings on the commander in chief's Afghanistan strategy.
