Guam - The Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse's Prevention and Training Branch spoke before the Rotary Club of Tumon Bay this afternoon. Mental Health Program Coordinator Gayle Osborn says they presented the mentorship programs that youth for youth has been providing to the community for the past 22 years.
The organization is also seeking volunteers to help operate the Crisis Hotline during the holidays, as Osborn said, "If teens are interested in joining to make a difference in the community, this will be an opportunity for them to do good work in our community to help their peers and their community as well."
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer can contact the PEACE Office or check out PeaceGuam.org.
