Mental Health transitions consumers to Asan
by Mindy Aguon
In accordance with an order from District Court Judge Consuelo Marshall, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse employees today transitioned additional consumers into its Guma IFIL (Institute for Independent Living) program. Mental Health Deputy Director Jason Tedtaotao says a second residential group home in Tamuning was identified to accommodate existing Guma IFIL consumers in order for more consumers to transition into the group home in Asan.
Judge Marshall required the agency to acquire the second group home and have it fully functional by today.
