Ethics committee can't reach consensus on attorney
by Nick Delgado
The legislative ethics committee was expected to select an attorney today, but during their meeting it was evident the members couldn't reach a consensus. The committee received applications from Attorneys Robert G.P. Cruz, Mitchell Thompson, and Anthony Camacho. The ethics committee members though, each had their own preferences on who should be the panel's legal counsel. Because senators could not reach an agreement, they decided to put together a voting sheet of who they feel can best do the job and the reasons why.
The ethics committee will meet again on Monday morning at 10.
