Work begins on Southern Police Precinct

It was six years in the making, and today ground was broken on the new Southern Police Precinct.  P&E Construction was awarded the $1.2 million contract to build the 7,200 square foot precinct that will include three holding cells, interview rooms, a gun vault, a training and fitness room as well as an emergency generator and storage tank.

Governor Felix Camacho proclaimed, ""It's a tribute to those at GHURA who were relentless in ensuring that they secured the land and then we were blessed even further that the stimulus money was available."
