UOG gets grant for crops

The University of Guam has $164,000 reasons to be happy today, as the U.S. Department of Agriculture awarded the institution a specialty crop block grant program.  The money will go towards a project that will enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops.

The University of Guam has $164,000 reasons to be happy today, as the U.S. Department of Agriculture awarded the institution a specialty crop block grant program.  The money will go towards a project that will enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops. 

UOG is expected to use the award to obtain resistant, certified, disease-free taro.
