NWS calls new storm "potentially dangerous"

A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for Guam and a Typhoon Watch in effect for Rota, Tinian and Saipan this as Tropical Storm Melor barrels its way slowly west-northwest.  A Tropical Storm Watch means winds of 39-73 miles per hour are possible within 48 hours. Melor is moving west-northwest at around 6 MPH.

A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for Guam and a Typhoon Watch in effect for Rota, Tinian and Saipan this as Tropical Storm Melor barrels its way slowly west-northwest. A Tropical Storm Watch means winds of 39-73 miles per hour are possible within 48 hours. Melor is moving west-northwest at around 6 MPH.

Maximum sustained winds are 70 miles per hour.
