The Guam Power Authority reminds the public that during and after a storm, the island's power system may be unstable.  Customers are advised to make an internal electrical inspection of the home or business.  Customers operating a generator are urged to shut off the main breaker of all buildings that are connected to the generator.

And on the water side of the utility coin, the Guam Waterworks Authority tells KUAM News that Ugum Water Treatment Plant has been secured at this time as plant personnel assess water production.  GWA spokesperson Heidi Ballendorf says the agency continues to bring water from the north to south to maintain customer demand.

Residents served by the Ugum plant from Talofofo to Umatac should store water to last them the duration of the storm.
