The Guam Memorial Hospital is filled to capacity.  Even before today's storm, the island's only public hospital was experiencing overcrowding and with the declaration of Condition of Readiness 1, the hospital began accepting expectant mothers.  Normal visiting hours at GMH have been suspended until further notice as well outpatient elective surgeries have been cancelled.

GMH spokesperson Connor Murphy says officials are monitoring the numbers and keeping a census of all the patients.  He told KUAM News, "We're securing the facility. We're full right now, actually. If it's not a true emergency we ask you to wait until the storm is over to come into the ER but of course, we'll take care of anyone that comes through our doors."
