Now, take a glimpse of the newest technology when it comes to camcorders.

Gearing up for the holiday season, Micropac has brought a series of new camcorders to Guam. The JVC Everio Series S, G and HD camcorders. Let's start with the Ererio S - it's the JVC entry-level digital camcorder and cones equipped with a 4-gigabyte SDHC memory card to store you pictures and video. 4GBs of space will allow you to shoot up to an hour of high-quality video, 4 hours of internet quality video, or take 9,999 pictures.

Micropac assistant senior manager Alfred Calinagan explained, saying, "You have your Ultra DVD Quality mode, DVD Quality mode, TV Quality mode and finally, you have Economy Mode, which has quality you can use to upload to the Internet." The coolest feature on the Everio S, is the ability to submit personal videos directly to YouTube, as easy as drag-and-drop.

"You don't have to really go through the menu and have to convert and upload, this one makes it easier for you," Calinagan demonstrated.

A step up from the S-Model is the Everio G. It doesn't have the cool YouTube upload feature, but it does come with a 30GB hard drive, which allows you to record video for 7 hours on high-quality and 37 hours of Internet-quality video. (That means no more changing tapes every half-hour, because you've run out of tape.)

"You'll be able to record straight out, maybe your whole kids program or play or graduation or soccer games. You're able to record the whole session," Calingan said.

The Everio HD7 is the world's first full high-definition camcorder. With the HD7 users now have the ability to shoot true HD video anytime, anyplace, offering broadcast-quality video to anyone who gets their hands on it. Like the G-Series, the Everio HD7 comes with twice the drivespace, with an astounding 60GB of onboard storage.

Calingan said, "You're going to get the same kind of quality you get from studios, but it's just a smaller, portable version that you can take and all your home videos will come out really clear because of the high resolution."

Other features the S series and G Series camcorders have are their top-notch Konika Minolta lenses. The HD-7 Series is a bit different with a Fujinon lens, which is the leader in professional HD lenses. You can get either on sale right now at Micropac.
