Baldyga Group International, a leading entertainment company in the Asia Pacific region, and owner of the SandCastle, is scheduled to announce its name change to Baldyga International Group on Sept. 23 along with the launch of three new divisions operating under the company - BigMedia, BigTours and BigServices. BIG President and chief executive office Mark Baldyga says the name change supports the notion of having a common umbrella for the various businesses they have and continue to add.
The acronym for Baldyga International Group spells the word "big" and enables the company to have a unique marketing and branding strategy tagging the word in front of its businesses or divisions. Last year BIG started Visitors Television and the company intends to broaden the TVC brand and it already includes English and Korean channels in addition to its existing Japanese channel. The company also offers digital signage, and has purchased the LED billboard across from the DFS Galleria in Tumon and is the proprietor of the screens in the lobbies and elevators of many of the major hotels including Westin Resort Guam and Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort.
Hilton Guam Resort & Spa and Hyatt Regency Guam will also feature the screens.
