AG ready to represent DPW against Guam Community Improvement Foundation
Public Works director Larry Perez has turned over all the necessary documents for the JFK protest to the Attorney General's Office, as they will be representing his agency in the procurement appeal filed by Guam Community Improvement Foundation. The group filed an appeal on the government's intent to award the JFK contract to International Bridge Corporation.
"It's at least three or four documents that had to be filed with that and I guess likewise with the protest they have to file their rebuttals if you will and it's almost like a court hearing," said Perez.
Perez says the documents included things like a declaration of substantial interest of the territory, the procurement record and other reports. The Office of the Public Auditor is scheduled to hold a status and scheduling conference next week Tuesday.
