Runners turn out for Calvo Cancer Foundation 5K

Hundreds of the islands runners came out and showed their support for the 1st Annual Guam Is Good 5K Benefiting Cancer Patients. The run is one of many fundraising events to come.

Hundreds of the islands runners came out and showed their support for the 1st Annual Guam Is Good 5K Benefiting Cancer Patients. The run is one of many fundraising events to come. Janet Calvo said, "Today's run is down at Skinner Plaza and it's for the Edward M. Calvo Foundation and we had about 650 people sign up for this run today. O.K the proceeds from the Guam Is Good 5K is going to go the Edward M. Calvo Cancer Foundation and the money is used to provide financial grants to patients in our community who are battling cancer. We decided to do the 5K in commemoration of Edward M. Calvo."

Natalie Calvo added, "That's my father in law his 5th anniversary, which is also the 5th anniversary of the Edward M. Calvo Cancer Foundation. We hope to make this even an annual event so for the rest of the year some other fundraisers we have plan is a head-shaving event on October 3rd at Guam Premiere Outlet."
