The contaminated MV Katarina is back in Guam's water as it dropped anchor in outer apra harbor after being denied entry in both the CNMI and Chuuk. The ship which is carrying total coliform and other microbial contamination will not be allowed to offload it's contents until it receives a chlorine wash. The ship was supposed to receive its chlorine wash in another port or return to it's port of origin however IBC had requested the ship return to Guam as it needs a safe harbor to conduct the chlorine wash. Coast Guard officials are waiting on epa to determine the next course of action for the vessel.
