Appeal over Oceanview gym repairs with GSA now

General Services Agency chief procurement officer Claudia Acfalle says she's currently reviewing what had transpired with the contract involving the repairs of Oceanview Middle School's gymnasium. Eons Enterprises Incorporated filed an appeal with the Office of Public Accountability.

Acfalle says she has five days to hand over procurement records to the OPA. At this point, she is going over the documents in hopes to make recommendations to the Department of Education's legal counsel based on her findings. "I will recommend what is the best approach whether it's to start this process all over again or continue the delay and get the project going," Acfalle said.

If DOE starts the bid process all over again, it'll take an additional 20 days to award a contract.
