The Guam Fire Department responded to a near drowning incident that occurred near the Outrigger Hotel in tumon.  GFD spokesperson Joey San Nicolas says an individual called units after witnessing a 41-year-old female tourist struggling in the waters just before 8:30 this morning.

San Nicolas says units from Tamuning and Dededo responded to the scene and transported her to the Guam Memorial Hospital.  GMH nursing supervisor Cely Mangrobang says chest x-rays were normal and the tourist was later discharged from the hospital.
